Are you an educator, artist, researcher, or creative thinker with ideas worth sharing?
Spark Creativity is Art Journal Foundation's annual article and research writing initiative that brings together educators, artists, researchers, and creative practitioners to share ideas, experiences, and perspectives on creativity, arts education, and learner development.
Through research papers, articles, case studies, and reflective practices, contributors help build a growing knowledge bank that supports creative learners and educators worldwide.
Selected articles and research papers will be published on the Art Journal Foundation website and may be featured in future AJF publications supporting arts education globally.
At Art Journal Foundation, we believe every individual has the potential to be a creator.
Guided by our philosophy of โCreate the Creator,โ we seek to nurture people who imagine possibilities, think creatively, take purposeful action, and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
Through our initiatives, we cultivate the mindsets, habits, and dispositions that empower individuals to shape the future with creativity and purpose.
At AJF, we believe creators are not defined by what they produce, but by how they think, observe, explore, and engage with the world around them.
The Creator Traits guide our work and inspire the conversations we hope to foster through Spark Creativity.
Sees deeply, notices details, and finds inspiration in the everyday.
Envisions possibilities beyond what currently exists.
Transforms ideas into images, concepts, and meaningful representations.
Questions, analyzes, reflects, and makes connections.
Develops ideas, meanings, and frameworks that shape understanding.
Experiments, explores uncertainty, and embraces learning through challenges.
Values diverse perspectives and remains receptive to new possibilities.
The future is shaped by those who can imagine possibilities, think creatively, and act with purpose.
Creativity is not confined to artistic expression; it is a way of thinking that drives innovation, nurtures wellbeing, strengthens communities, and empowers individuals to navigate an ever-changing world.
Through this year's theme, Spark Creativity invites contributors to explore how creativity influences learning, leadership, identity, wellbeing, innovation, and human development.
As we collectively seek to create the creators of tomorrow, we invite educators, artists, researchers, and creative practitioners to share ideas, practices, and perspectives that help shape creative futures.
